Intimately know Him

"Acquaint now thyself with Him and be at peace (NKJV)."

Job 22:21a reads as such in the NABS: "Yield now and be at peace with Him." But a better translation is "Acquaint now thyself with Him and be at peace (NKJV)." This relationship with the God of the universe is intimately knowing His words, His ways, stepping away from those things that distract our focus from Him, waiting on Him in the power of the Spirit not the power of the flesh, and more. This biblical phrase is used in many of Tozer's books. He felt that the Church needed to regain her lost power by seeing heaven opened and having a transforming vision of God. Psalm 46:10 says it another way, "Be still and know that I am God." May we practice that stillness to know Him more intimately!
