Have you ever grieved for the loss of a pet? Surely we all have! There is some encouragement in this area from a book entitled "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn.

Have you ever grieved for the loss of a pet?  Surely we all have!  I am currentIy looking for one of my feral cats named Silver.  I check for lost animals on "PawBoost" near where I live, especially cats, in case I could across them in my journeys close to home.  In addition, I know the pain of the loss and I pray quickly for the family and pet.  People involved in animal rescue are exposed to that grief factor a lot.  It is tough, and many leave the rescuing because of this stress.  I have rescued at least 100+ cats, about 25+ foxes, and five dogs.  I have felt that grief numerous times, and one of my solutions was to write up the story of the cat or fox in my books.  The writing freed me from that grief as I remembered the good times, the struggles, and how God used me to help. But a few years ago, I had two great  cats (named Brighty and Sandy) die within the same month.  I began searching for another perspective.  The first was in Deuteronomy 29:29, "the secret things belong to the Lord."  The secret was would I ever see these precious creatures again?  I recently ran across a book entitled "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn.  He addresses the secret for us and pets. Those of you that may be grieving, be encouraged that God will use it for good!
